Shop is Re-Opened!

Just popping in to say that I’ve finally gotten my Etsy shop open again.  There’s not a lot in there right now but later this week, I’ll be adding a few new BFL and superfine merino rovings.  There’s a link in the side bar to the shop, along with a little preview of what’s in there – scroll on down, then click over and see it all!

Etsy Shop Closed

Just a note that my Etsy shop is closed until Monday for Fiber Twist.  If you’d like a notification when its re-opened you can sign up on the shop’s home page.

I’ll be doing an update on Monday – just how big and what goes in will, of course, depend on tomorrow’s festival.

New Rovings

I snuck in an Etsy update tonight.  I had an unplanned 30 minutes of freedom this afternoon and put it to good use – adding BFL rovings to the shop.  I just added the last few.  There’s 14 new colorways in all.  Check it out here.

New Patterns on Etsy

I’ve just re-opened my Etsy shop following today’s spinning guild meeting.  I added lots of new patterns from Knitspot.  There’s new patterns for shawls, cowls, scarves, mitts and socks.  There’s a little something for everyone, for that perfect early fall project.  Check it all out here.

Etsy Shop Re-opened

The Etsy shop is back up again, at last.  There’s lots of fun stuff in there – rovings and yarn in scrumptious shades for fall and a full selection of patterns from Knitspot.

Just a note that I will be taking it down again next Saturday, just for the day, while I’m at the Nutmeg Spinner’s Guild Meeting.  Look for an update on Sunday, including recently dyed BFL, sock yarn and new patterns.

Etsy Shop

Just popping in with a quick note about my Etsy shop.  I’m holding off on re-opening until the weekend.  Its turning into an crazy-busy, exhausting kind of week.  Tonight was the only night I would have had to inventory my stuff post-show and re-open the shop, but honestly, a little self-care took priority.  I made the apple crisp I’ve been craving, cranked up Pandora and curled up with my knitting.  The shop will wait.

Etsy Update

Its finally here – a huge Etsy update.  How huge?  I doubled what was in my shop and it took me all day to photograph, label and list it.  Most of it is spinning fiber – merino superwash, merino/tencel, alpaca/silk/merino and my new merino/angora rovings.  There’s also 5 new skeins of sock yarn.  There’s plenty more sock yarn to come later this week – another 20 skeins.

Soon-ish

That Etsy update I promised?  Its coming.   I need to take pictures of everything, label it and then list it.  Here’s the thing – I’ve been waiting all week for a set of backdrops for my light tent to arrive before I take pictures.  At this point, that’s not looking so good.   I seem to have ordered from an online source that has a horrible reputation for customer service and taking weeks to ship orders, even though they have a “next day shipping” policy.  A reputation that I would have known about if I’d googled them before I ordered.  A full week later, after waiting for the “next day” shipping and then a promise that my order was shipping Wednesday pm, I did just that.  If the online reviews are to believed, I’ll be filing a Paypal dispute soon.  Lesson learned.   I’m not waiting for that to do my update.  I’ll figure out something in the meantime.

I’m hoping I might get out of work reasonably early today and at least start the update.  No promises.  I’ll post when I’m ready to start the update.  As I said earlier, its huge – tons of fiber going in there. :)

No eye candy this Friday – yet.  My Sweet Caroline hibiscus is in full bloom.  I can’t wait to get out there with my macro lens and get some shots of it to share.

Etsy Returns

Finally, The Painted Sheep’s Etsy Shop is back up and running.  My inventory of fiber in particular is low but there’s still a nice assortment of BFL rovings, yarns and patterns.  Lots of stuff to choose from!

Now that the shop is back up, its on to the next project – unearthing my dye studio!  Its pretty well trashed from packing it up for RI.  I plan to give it a thorough cleaning out this week, take some pictures of my new stuff and then plan for some serious dye days this summer.

A bit of normalcy and routine feels like its starting to come back around here.  Yesterday’s day at the Farmer’s Market helped.  My day started my favorite way – coffee, newspaper and some knitting.  I cast on a pair of Luxor socks in the Silky STR (in place of the Knee High to a Grasshopper socks).  Then it was off to the Market for my long awaited Shroom (that would be an egg sandwich with fresh sauteed mushrooms and fabulous dill sauce from Lizzy’s Curbside Cuisine), fresh fruits and veggies and more knitting time.  I even signed up to volunteer at the Market this summer, part of the Friends of the Market program.  I then moved on to the kitchen – those fresh veggies turned into a wonderful pasta dish, garlic bread (FYI – the master recipe from Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day makes the best garlic bread) with strawberry shortcake for dessert.  It felt like summer is finally here!  Yum!  The day ended with more knitting.  It was a perfectly pleasant, normal summer Sunday and it was wonderful.

With more days like yesterday, I feel ready to start looking ahead.  I know summer will fly by – the Fiber Twist and fall festivals will be here before we know it.  Time to hit the dye studio!  I have a few things planned for this summer – a special project that will bring something new and unique to my offerings, new colorways and finally finishing up the line of t-shirts and bags.  Lots to do!  I’m looking forward to the fun it will bring.

I’m off to work – hoping to sneak in a couple of rows on my Luxor socks first…
